Blanville creation is a family and friendly adventure...

Blanville is a dream come true: an estate in the Languedoc region that produces great wines. In 1997 our family left the comforts of Parisian life to embark on this passionate, yet unpredictable adventure with the help of a few friends who accepted to invest in our dream.

The winery, Chais de Blanville, nestles up the Château de Rieutort, an elegant eighteenth century castle surrounded by its vineyard of vins de pays. It cultivates 47 hectares, 30 of which are on AOC soil in the Grés de Montpellier zone. All our grapes are vinified in our winery.

The quality of our terroirs, and the competence, rigor and commitment of our team have made Blanville a renowned estate in the Languedoc.

We apply the cultivation principles of "supervised control", which combines tradition and modern technology. Chemical treatment is kept at a minimum. Yields are rigorously controlled and selected stock by stock. The average yield for all AOC wines and vins de pays is close to 30 hI per hectare. Grapes are primarily harvested manually and are sorted, pressed and picked off from the bunch. Production reaches 150,000 barrels per year.

Blanville wines have been awarded numerous national and international distinctions and medals. They are sold directly from the vineyard as well as by many cellars in France and abroad. Blanville wines are found on the menu of many gourmet restaurants in France.

Terroir : Les Peyrals
Le vignoble « Les Peyrals » s’étend sur près de 20 hectares dont 14 hect de vignes sont en production. Les terres sont encépagées en syrah, grenache, mourvèdre et carignan. Ce terroir d’exception de cailloutis calcaires est classé en Grès de Montpellier.
Assemblage : mourvèdre (98%), assemblé à du grenache noir et du carignan. Rendement moyen inférieur à 17 hl/hect. Elevage en barriques de 2 et 3 vins pendant 12 mois et en cuve pendant 12 mois. Elevage en bouteilles pendant 12 mois.
Dégustation : Robe rouge rubis profond. Nez puissant, riche et complexe, chocolat, torréfaction, cerise kirsch, pruneaux, avec quelques pointes de framboise apportées par le carignan. En première bouche, l’attaque est franche avec une très belle acidité. Les tanins sont nobles, très serrés et fondus. Le milieu de bouche est ample, riche en arômes de cerise, de chocolat, de vanille, de fruits noirs très mûrs. Le vin est très souple, soyeux, mais avec une solide structure. Tout au long de la dégustation, le vin reste très présent et il tapisse le palais pour une longue finale sur le fruit. Un vin aérien aux arômes éclatants et d’une très grande finesse.
