Soil: Gravely from the Garonne dating from the quaternary period and made of sand and pebbles

VINIFICATION
Harvesting by hand and destemming. Fermentations take place in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats for 6 to 10 days depending on vintages.
Stays in vats between 3 to 4 weeks in order to fully extract the inner quality of the soil.

MATURING
100% French oak Barrels (55% new oak, medium roast, fine grain)
made by 10 different coopers.
Duration: from 14 to 18 months depending on vintages
The wine if fined and filtered

KEEPING TIME
Château Mongravey will reach maturity in 8 to 10 years and will keep for fifteen years

Located in the heart of the Haut Medoc appellation, Regis Bernaleau has managed to bring out the depth of this outstanding vineyard.

Chateau de Braude has been awarded prizes at the Concours General Agricole de Paris (Silver award in 1999, Gold awards in 2000 and 2001) and has obtained stars in the Guide Hachette des vins (2** in 1999 an 1* in 2000)
