With this great wine, Bodegas y Viñedos Anguinan, relaunches its well recognized brand to the market.

It’s a structured wine, aged in french oak middle sized barrels, with good body and rounded.

This varietal is produced with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested in our vineyards at the Famatina Valley, 1.100 meters over the sea level. The production is controled in quantity and quality and the harvest is manual.

The fermentation was done under strict controls in our winery that counts with hi technolgy for fine wine elaboration, taking care of every detail so the wine can express its finest characteristcs.

Aged for more than one year in Seguin Moreau oak barrels, the result is a concentrated wine, with complex aromas where you will find chili pepper, red raising fruits, tobacco and vanilla. At sight, blackberry colors with granate reds, due to the age of the wine. In mouth is persistant, rounded, estructured and with a great end.

Established in 1924 by Mr. Gregorio Juárez, a Spanish immigrant, Anguinan Winery and Vineyard is located in the village of Anguinan, County of Chilecito, Province of La Rioja, Argentina. Anguinan is in Famatina Valley, 1100 meters above sea level, with a mild climate and pure water which comes from the melting snow of the nearby Famatina hills. The area enjoys an average temperature of 24° Celsius and all-round excellent climatic conditions for the growing and harvesting of the finest grapes.

The grape vines are planted in arid, sandy soil, low in nutrients and organic matter. The wind and scarce rainfall –never exceeding 120 millimeters per year—provide for excellent natural soil conditions requiring little use of agrochemicals.

With these extraordinary climatic and soil characteristics Anguinan Winery and Vineyards has introduced new varieties of fine grapes into the area, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah reds and Torrontés Riojano, and Chardonnay whites.

Currently, there are 77 planted hectares which produce an average of 20,000 kilos of grapes per hectare. The vineyards have modern irrigation and piping systems contributing to optimum quality and production of the grapes.

We also use grapes grown by other vineyards in the vicinity which we mature on our premises in 2,400,000-liter storage tanks.

Our fine wines are aged in French oak barrels in a cellar, where they are stored with the ideal temperature and humidity until they are ready to be bottled.

Over the years we have increased our staff and improved our technology, including the installation of stainless steel crushing machinery, a pneumatic press, harvest coolers, screw pumps, other cooling equipment and modern bottling equipment with a production capacity of 3,000 bottles per hour.
