2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva (#1540)
Familglia Meschini
Eugenio and Teresa Meschini, husband and wife, are behind Famiglia Meschini wines. Eugenio’s father Pacifico and grandfather Primo- started producing wines in Mendoza in the 60s. Primo imported the first vines of dolcetto grapes into Mendoza from his native land – Tolentino, Le Marche, Italy. Typical to the Meschini name, wine making is done with the same passion and commitment to quality as it was done by the previous generations. Famiglia Meschini’s main goal is to produce the best full body, authentic, argentine wines made by argentine wine makers. Famiglia Meschini’s Cabernet is produced from grapes grown in Finca El Zorzal in the district of Villa Seca, Maipu in Mendoza, crafted by winemaker Manuel Lopez Lopez. This vineyard is only 15 acres of organically grown vines. This wine is one of the finest cabernets ever produced in Argentina, ready to challenge the best from around the world.
