Croatia is a jewel—a multi-faceted land of brilliant contrasts, stunning natural beauty and a glorious cultural heritage. Each private and small group tour is carefully designed to help you discover Croatia’s many hidden gems as well as its well-known world-class touring destinations. Our goal is to provide you with the most intriguing tour itineraries, the most knowledgeable local guides and our personal attention to ensure your comfort. Each Secret Dalmatia tour in Croatia is an authentic experience, not a packaged program.

Secret Dalmatia’s Peljesac Wine Tour takes you to the beautiful Pelješac peninsula. Located in the heart of South Dalmatia, this picturesque area is home to some of the most intriguing red wines in Europe. Our private wine tour includes a trio of wine-tasting opportunities at Croatia’s most respected wine cellars, field visits to their vineyards on the slopes of this magnificent peninsula and a magnificent Dalmatian lunch at the celebrated Bartulovic estate.
Your host is Mario Bartulović, a renowned Croatian wine-maker, who will be our personal guide throughout the day. Our first experience on Peljesac is the Miloš winery, home of the charismatic poet-winemaker Frano Miloš, where you will get a chance to taste his red MILOS PLAVAC or his now legendary, STAGNUM, also a red, made of 100% Plavac Mali grapes, a variety that DNK analysis claim is the "grandfather" of Zinfandel!
Next, we visit the Grgic winery in Trstenik. Miljenko Grgich studied wine-making in Zagreb. After migrating to the US, with only $20 in his pocket, he founded the famous Grgich Hills winery in Napa Valley but not before he made a name for himself being part of Chateau Montelena success story in the 70s. While you visit the Grgic cellars, you will taste their famous white Posip and their red Plavac Mali Dingac. The winery is located on a hill overlooking the charming Trstenik harbor.
Our final sojourn will be to the 500-year-old wine cellar of Bartulović, your guide´s family business, where you will enjoy a wine-tasting and a superb Croatian luncheon. Wait until you savor a glass of their fabulous rosé!

Each Secret Dalmatia tour is an authentic Croatian experience. And our Secret Dalmatia’s Pelješac Wine Tour with Mario Bartulović is one of our most requested programs!

We also offer great wine tasting opportunities in Istria, Hvar and Skradin area. If you would like information about these other tasting opportunities, or customized wine tours, please contact us!

Please note: the number of the tours per year is limited. Only 30 available!
