BD Tours offers you all year long a range of trail walks in selected Bordeaux vineyard areas, over a half or a full day. You just have to choose your destination!

These walks are of course wine and vine oriented, as are all our activities, but they will also allow you to appreciate the region's architectural and cultural wealth, as well as its fauna and flora.

Walk at your own pace on the countryside trails and, depending on seasons, you'll have plenty of time to observe the vines, to stop and examine a pigeon house or a mill, or even admire a wild orchid...

You will also meet vine growers and winemakers during chateau visits, who will explain you their jobs and present you their precious products.

These walks are available upon reservation, for groups of 4 or more.
Write to us about your project and we'll send you a quoted proposal.

Bruno DELMAS was born in 1960 in Angers and grew up there until he left for Bordeaux in 1981 to study oenology. He was a winemaker for 2 years in Australia and Bordeaux, before going back to university to study marketing.

He then worked for 10 years for the Chamber of Commerce of Bordeaux, including 8 years (from 1990 to 1998) as manager of the visitors’ department of VINEXPO, the world’s leading exhibition for wines and spirits.

Here, he organised and supervised the worldwide promotion bringing professional visitors to Bordeaux (more than 10 000 foreign visitors from 120 countries for each show, among a total of 45 000 attendees) and set up and coordinated all the services offering the best welcome and optimal working conditions for these wine and spirits buyers: shuttles, registration and information points (150 hostesses), business centres. He also created and animated the VINEXPO VIP Club, gathering the most important buyers around the world.

After his last exhibition, V&S in Hong-Kong in June 1998 (the 1st Vinexpo adventure outside France), where he was in charge of the Wine and Spirits University (more than 50 wine tastings and conferences within 3 days), Bruno DELMAS joined the Bordeaux Wine Council, taking over the Bordeaux Wine School, dedicated to consumers’ wine education.
Within 3 years, the attendance grew from 600 up to 2000 attendees, including 50 % of foreigners, by developing the promotion skills, but also by enlarging the targets, such as working with companies and travel agencies and setting up tailor-made programs for them.

Developing this activity, Bruno DELMAS acquired a strong experience in welcoming and taking care of groups, as well as in organising tours, as all programs proposed by the School include visits and tastings in chateaux, in addition to the more formal courses.

Fond of horses, he obtained his “Horse ride leader” Diploma in 2005 in order to realize his working dream: to set up Horse rides in the vineyard.

So was born BD Tours: An original wine tourism concept, combining culture, pleasure and professionalism!

Bruno DELMAS is also an official taster for the agreement of Entre-Deux-Mers, Saint-Emilion and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Lussac-Saint-Emilion wines. He also actively participate to Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur wines' selection for all official events, wine competitions and journalists' presentations.
